Somehow the same room full of things which was absolutely no problem to move out of the first floor with eight people became a bit of a chore when it had to be carried up to the fourth floor with just a handful of people. ‘Fourth floor’ is one set of staircases higher than the floor things should be at.
We did survive, but everybody was a bit knackered after that.

Ah, gravity, the avenger. I moved several hundred CDs out of storage yesterday, and I am definitely feeling it.

Heh, the CDs were a breaker for us as well. My friend had completely filled a desktop computer box with them. Which was almost impossible to lift. While we busied ourselves carrying other stuff up and pondered splitting the load up (or simply trying to sell his CDs in the street ;) he actually moved it up there on his own. His forces weren’t restored afterwards though. And just for the chuckle, we put an iPod on top of the box afterwards for size and weight comparison…
