This afternoon in the record store I saw that they had a second hand 7 LP box with all of Beethoven’s symphonies. By Karajan and the Berliner Philharmoniker even. It was quite hidden and looked dusty – probably because most people shopping there are too ‘hip’ to buy that kind of stuff. The vinyl seems fine though.
While I am not overwhelmed after listening to a few of the symphonies – I always wanted to have those and at a total cost of €7 it seems unlikely that this will turn out to be a mistake.
