Richard Anderson writes up why our most favourite keyboard equivalents just aren't as nice when not using an English keyboard.

More Ars Technica Maworld goodness. I particularly agree with the point about the 'Menu' button on the iPod and the Riefenstahl reference. Also note the porn references, the dark oak bitching and the comparison of Mac gaming to the special Olympics.

I fail to see the point of bitching about the $49 price tag for iLife. Didn't the old version cost the same? Sans GarageBand? And anyway, considering the whole package it's a damn good deal. I do understand the bitching about iPhoto, though. I have no use for iDVD, iPhoto or GarageBand, iTunes will be free anyway – and it's a shame I can't upgrade to iPhoto now, because $49 is quite a lot for that app alone.

- Fine way to find out that “de” stands for German. ;)
- I wonder what they’re smoking in the OED offices these days.
- Personally I always wondered what it would sound like to have the Beatles singing along with J.S. Bach and with GarageBand I hope to find out.
- Those chaps on Ars are brigands and I don’t go there for that reason.
Time for me to get back to conjugating “to be.”
