Whoa! It seems that with the physics department moving to the science ghetto far to the north of town these days, they actually switched off the particle accelerator, respectively its cooling system that covered our department's garden in constant noise. That's quite cool.
Now, I'll just have to destroy my office-mate's computer which is very noisy as well and wait until they finished tearing up the street and it will be nice and quiet.
